Round Rock

Round Rock is a city located 15 miles north of Austin. It has many award-winning parks and provides a high quality of life, a safe community and vibrant economic growth, with industry in clean energy, manufacturing, life sciences and computer/software development.

It is part of the Austin–Round Rock–San Marcos metropolitan area. The city straddles both sides of the Balcones Escarpment, a fault line in which the areas roughly east of IH-35 are flat and characterized by having black, fertile soils of the Blackland Prairie, and the west side of the Escarpment, which consists mostly of hilly terrain with little topsoil and higher elevations and which is part of the Texas Hill Country.

Round Rock is a dynamic and expanding community which is an easy commute to downtown Austin. It has a strong public education system. Round Rock is perhaps best known as the international headquarters of Dell, which adds many job opportunities to the community and surrounding areas.
